To expand manufacturing capacity for the COVID-19 vaccine, CanSino Biotech, Shanghai Pharma, and Shanghai Biopharmaceutical Fund established Shanghai Shangyao CanSino SPH Biologics Lnc. in February 2021 as a joint venture focused on vaccine research, development, and production, situated at its Baoshan base in Shanghai.

Shanghai CanSino SPH Biologics Lnc. is actively advancing facility construction to deploy automated, independent production lines for bulk solution and final preparation within the year, bringing annual COVID-19 vaccine production capacity to 200 million doses.

On February 24, 2021, news arrived that CanSino won the bid. As a critical renovation project, this workshop received close attention from the Shanghai Municipal Government and related authorities, with deliveries scheduled to start on March 15 and conclude by mid-April. This project adopted Cnsterilezoom double glass magnesium rock wool cleanroom panel, requiring a rapid delivery cycle, high volume, and strict execution.

The sales team promptly communicated the client's requirements internally.

On March 2, technical specialists, sales, customer service, and procurement teams finalized the delivery schedule and established daily project progress milestones.

As a fast-track renovation project with concurrent design and construction, addressing drawing revisions, schedule changes, and construction progress required proactive coordination. The technical team of Cnsterilezoom traveled to Shanghai on March 3rd to conduct scheme design optimization and on-site dimension confirmation.

On March 4th, on-site dimensions were released in phases, specifications for doors, Windows, and plates were confirmed, and manufacturing commenced.

By mid-April, the supply of 31,600 square meters of cleanroom materials was successfully completed.

Using traditional return air columns for air handling occupies excessive space and compromises aesthetics. To resolve these challenges, Cnsterilezoom supplied a 100mm hollow air return unit module for the project, completely replacing return air columns and 100mm thick hollow shrapnel walls in the gowning and shoe removal buffer rooms, substantially increasing space utilization.

The project incorporates large size cleanroom window, featuring an integrated structural design that seamlessly integrates with cleanroom wall panels. Offering superior airtight performance, straightforward installation, and an elegant appearance, it serves as a standout feature of the cleanroom space. Manufactured in a professional cleanroom environment with fully automated temperature and humidity controls and triple seals, it guarantees reliable sealing integrity without dead zones. According to testing by the National Construction Engineering Quality Supervision and Testing Center, Cnsterilezoom cleanroom windows showed no frost or condensation even at -60℃.
