Headquartered in Moscow, R-Pharm is poised to become a premier manufacturer of Russia's Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine.

On December 11, 2020, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and R-Pharm Chairman Alexey Repik inspected the COVID-19 vaccine production progress at the Moscow manufacturing facility. Developed by R-Pharm, this major pharmaceutical facility incorporates over 40,000 square meters of rock wool cleanroom panels, cleanroom doors, alongside a diverse range of specialized cleanroom enclosure systems supplied by Cnsterilezoom.

This specialized manufacturing plant will produce the flagship domestic "Sputnik V" vaccine, originally developed by the Epidemiology and Microbiology Center. According to project specifications, the facility will produce up to 20 million vaccine doses per month once operating at full capacity. Total capital investment for this project stands at 8.6 billion rubles. The R-Pharm facility is scheduled to begin operations in late December 2020, with the initial batch of Sputnik V vaccines slated for manufacturing at Moscow Technopolis in January 2021. Located within the "Technopolis "Moscow" special economic zone, the plant was built in record time to support crucial national and municipal vaccination programs. The total floor space of the new production facility will exceed 20,000 square meters.
