On July 13, 2018, the launch meeting for the "Veterinary Pharmaceutical Industry Cleanroom Design Standards" working group convened its first session in Beijing.

As an invited participant, Cnsterilezoom attended the kick-off meeting to actively support the development of these standards.

In 2017, the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association released its 2017 Standards Development and Revision Plan, officially listing the “Veterinary Pharmaceutical Industry Cleanroom Design Standards” as a key development project.

This standard was compiled by China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd., the Chinese Veterinary Drug Supervision Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Agricultural Academy, and the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences during its design and preparation phase.

Currently, China maintains two independent GMP systems, namely human medicine GMP and veterinary drug GMP managed by the Health Planning Commission and the Food and Drug Administration.

China's human pharmaceutical sector adopts the supporting technical standard (GB50457 "Design Standard for Cleanroom of Pharmaceutical Industry") as the primary technical foundation for its regulatory framework. Domestic veterinary drug manufacturing previously lacked a comparable technical standard, making the preparation of the Cleanroom Design Standards highly significant for the industry's ongoing development.

With the promulgation and implementation of regulatory standards for the veterinary drug industry, the country is entering a major development phase for the renovation and construction of clean room facilities across the veterinary pharmaceutical sector. Therefore, formulating this standard is both an urgent need and of great industry significance.
