On September 14, 2019, Cnsterilezoom and Tongji University signed a cooperation framework agreement to jointly develop architectural design courses and launch the "Cnsterilezoom Creative Architecture Competition", which was successfully hosted at the headquarters of Cnsterilezoom.

In his speech, Manager Shuheng Xu noted that industrial architecture blends modern industrial layout, structure, materials, and colors, requiring innovative design concepts. This partnership with Tongji University presents an exciting opportunity to lead industrial building trends in China over the next five years, while laying the groundwork for further collaborative projects in the future.

Jianlong Zhang stated that by visiting Cnsterilezoom, students gained practical insight into steel structures and cleanroom wall panels. Cleanroom building products have achieved widespread adoption, and customized prefabricated steel structures continue to gain prominence. Tongji University, as a national experimental teaching center, will fully utilize its academic strengths and practical expertise.

As an integral part of the 2nd Cnsterilezoom Innovation Festival, the Cnsterilezoom Creative Architecture Design Competition was jointly organized by Cnsterilezoom and Tongji University for the renovation of campus micro-buildings. Tongji University selected and recommended two outstanding schemes as results from the competition's first round.

Longzhu Wei, Chairman of Cnsterilezoom, commented on the scheme: "Architectural design should focus on practicality, upon which the essence of the design can be integrated to create a more natural and harmonious experience, allowing users to reflect on the past and look toward the future."

"The design is not merely an art installation, but an active event generator designed for teachers and students. This reflects the true essence of architecture."

Prior to the signing ceremony, Tongji University representatives toured the production facility and research institute at Cnsterilezoom headquarters, accompanied by Cnsterilezoom's reception team, and were deeply impressed by advanced European manufacturing equipment and the world's first automatic production line of clean room panel.

The partnership with Tongji University represents a key step in open innovation jointly undertaken by Cnsterilezoom and Tongji University. This collaboration maximizes Tongji University's strengths in architectural design education and Cnsterilezoom's expertise in building materials and engineering, advancing collaborative innovation across industry, academia, research, and application.
